Design statement
「ロウソク1つ分の火の揺らめき、そこから起きる風によって届けられる香り、その時間を豊かに」Leiは世界で最も詩性ある、電源を使用せずロウソクの熱で発電する新しいアロマディフューザーです。古来からの焚き火のように、コミュニケーションの場で人と人の間に自然に存在できる家電として、人の心をもてなし、今目の前広がる時間と空間をゆったり楽しむきっかけをくれます。
循環資源となりうる素材をベースに作られた本製品は、ロウソクを熱源とした発電により微風が発生。揮発した香りを風に乗せて空間に広がります。一連の流れを実現させつつ、情緒的訴求を第一にデザインされたミニマルな形態、コードレスによる移動性、メンテナンスしやすいユーザビリティ。コンセントを使用せず自己完結する全く新しい家電としても、一プロダクトとしても新たな価値を創出しています。

Function
通常のアロマディフューザーと比較した際のメリットは、コードレスであることとメンテナンスのしやすさにあります。コードレスであることで、居間や寝室のほか、バスルームや屋外まで使用シーンは多岐にわたり、気軽に持ち運び設置することが可能です。アロマオイルはトレイにそのまま仕込むだけ、交換・洗浄も簡単です。
アロマ本来の香りを最小限の消費量で楽しむための工夫もされています。他製品は香りの意図が損なわれる程の熱を使用している場合が多いですが、Leiは最低限の熱でゆっくり香りを揮発させるため、香りのクオリティはそのままに、貴重なオイルの減りも最小限に抑えます。また、ベース部分にはアルミニウムを使い、重心を作ることでロウソクの転倒を防ぎます。さらにガラス製筒で覆うことで火に触れることは不可能になるため、安全に使用できます。

環境に配慮し使用素材はアルミ、レアアース、ガラスの3種に限定しています。パッケージにもリサイクル可能な素材を用い、製品としての役目を終えた後も全て資源として循環していきます。

In consideration of the environment, the materials used are limited to three types: aluminum, rare earths, and glass. —all recyclable materials—we ensure that even after the product's life is over, everything, even packaging, can be recycled. Lei embodies the soon-to-be standard values of our post-materialist future, going beyond mere functionality, the user is not just using the product but also enjoying the poetic experience of time and space. Rather than pursuing immediate functionality and convenience, this product embodies the sensitivity to find space in the unseen.
